my lovelies! With a new year comes New Year´s resolutions. One of my resolutions is to take better care of my skin in general. That includes, eat and chose healthier options in any way, drink more water and focus more on skincare. With that being said, I started the year out by using my favorite facemasks from Starskin Beauty and their products have always been a must for me since they are so good and I have seen remarkable positive changes in my skin when using these products.
Starskin is very consistent with making their products so well and they are not famous for nothing, a lot of their success lies within the amazing ingredients they put into these products as well as the cute packaging. I really do enjoy every single product and I have never been let down by any of them, they really do live up to the expectations that they write on the labels (I am only mentioning this because many companies/brands tend to promise too much and don´t deliver).
STARSKIN Detoxing Sea Kelf Leaf Cleansing Foam (The Master Cleansing Foam)
What you do with this cleanser is that you apply it into your palms and create an even bigger foam by rubbing the hands together. Then I apply it to my already damp face and massage it into my skin. I don´t use this product directly as a makeup remover, but instead, I cleanse with a micellar water to take the most off my makeup off and then go in with this product. After I rinse the foam off of my face, I am left with a clean, fresh and dry face. I would say that it pretty much soaks every bit of oil- as well as moisture out of my face to prep my skin for whatever may come next, which of course is a hydrating moisturizer.
STARSKIN Foaming Peeling Perfecting Puff (Glowstar)
This product, I have used once before. What it basically does is that the little puff that comes inside the package is soaked with the product (meaning that you only get 1 puff per package and that this puff is reusable up to 3 times). The little puff has small lines all over it which will exfoliate and scrub your skin (gently) leaving the skin clean and fresh.What I don´t really like about this concept is that it´s not very hygienic to re-use a puff like this, and then to put it back into the same little packaging (which you, by the way, can´t close like that). My final thought is that it really does what it is supposed to do and I like to use this once a week to really get a deep cleanse.
STARSKIN 7-in-1 Miracle Skin Mask Pads
You know the feeling when a brand is promising too much, like saying that you can have all in one and it sounds too good to be true? Well, I was super skeptic about this product mainly because it says 7-in-1, I mean... Wouldn't you be? It says the following: massage, exfoliate, toner, moisturizer, serum, mask and makeup primer. I tested this very promising beauty out and here are my thoughts: When you open up the container, the first thing you see is plastic tweezer; this I assume is for hygienic reasons, which allows you to take one pad and not touch the others (I like that). Then you see multiple pads that are soaked in product. The puffs have a pleasant scent, not too strong but smell very clean (if that makes sense haha). The idea behind this is that you scrub the face for 7 seconds, and flip over the pad and massage in the serum. I really like this product and it really leaves my skin amazing and hydrated! Big thumbs up.
STARSKIN Brightening Bio-Cellulose second skin face mask (after party)
When I tried this product out, my skin had been very dry that day. I had just finished up an exam and wanted to treat myself a little bit. I applied this mask 1-2 hours before I went to bed and my skin felt so nice. Even the day after, it still felt very hydrated, soft and nourished. What I absolutely loved about this product was the fact that it is filled with amazing ingredients to wake my skin up (ironically I was going to bed, but hey). I will definitely try this mask again!
STARSKIN Power C+ Booster Mask
This is one of newest launched products. I was very excited about trying this one out because I really enjoy products with vitamin C in it. I use my Bobbi Brown Enriched Face base cream on the daily which has a lot of vitamin C in it and you can really smell it as soon as you open up the lid - and that part I love. Vitamin C is well known for anti-age and made to hydrate and refresh dull skin. Having the mask on feels very refreshing and hydrating. The skin feels plumped and super moisturized afterwards, I couldn´t ask for more in a face mask!
