Hi my lovelies! Fitness and working out has become a part of my day-to-day life. I don´t share nor talk much about it on social media, therefore I wanted to include a little post for you guys where share a little fitness story as well as my latest workout outfit from a super cool fitness store called Stronger.
Stronger is a Swedish brand and has a great selection of cute and chic prints for your workout gear. I am wearing their Vietnam set (details below). I was really happy with how good quality the material is and how super soft it is, perfect for all kinds of workout!I The print in my set is gorg! I really really like it, and I love how different it is to my other workout clothes. Their motto is "Do it for yourself - get shit done" which is a great way to put it since working out and getting fit is a personal journey and you will be proud of yourself in the long-run.
I have always been a sports person and I have done multiple sports since I was little. What really made the cut for me was dancing. I have been a dancer since I was 6 years old. Unfortunately, my dancing 'career' had to stop at age 17, since I had severe pain in my knees, which was pain that had slowly been building up the last couple of years from dancing.
Of course, I was super sad about having to quit one of the things I loved to do the most. After a couple of months, I turned to fitness to strengthen and rebuild my muscles around the knees to give them back their strenght after being totally worn out after 11 years. At first, I wasn´t that big of a fitness since dancing was the total workout itself and I never had to do any additional workout whatsoever. At that point, going to the gym didn´t last for very long since I didn´t have a 'plan' whatsoever, so I basically ended up going to the gym once a month, which is not that great when you want to stay in shape and rebuild strength in your knees. What happened in that period, was that I kind of lost interest in working out and ended not going to the gym in months... great!
I made quite a big pause and started working out little by little again last year, and at the very beggining of this year, I made a commitment to start working out again properly this time - for myself and for the sake of being fit and in great shape. Luckily, I didn´t get out of shape that much, I can still run for example 5km in the same time period as I could when I was at my best (dancing) - which is great. What I am focusing on now is simply getting fit, being healthy(er) and I am really happy with where I am at this point. My knees are doing great so far, hehe, and I love how I can start to see results by now. I take it all in my own path (nice and slow) and I am loving the results so far! All it comes down to in the end is simply to take it all in your own path and the results will end up being great!
